Half the fee starts the engagement. The final half is only invoiced once the deliverables are in your hands and do what the proposal says. If anything falls short, we fix it first, at no additional cost, before the final invoice exists.
We're with you for the whole journey, and we put that in writing.
You never pay in full for work you haven't seen. Half the fee starts the engagement. The final half is only invoiced once the deliverables are in your hands and do what the proposal says. This is in writing in your signed proposal and our published Terms before the engagement begins.
How the protection works
Every deliverable includes a full revision round before sign-off, revised until it accurately reflects your workplace. And if a factual error is ever found in a Daylight deliverable (this year or in three years), it's corrected free, with corrected versions issued to your portal.
What this covers
These documents live in your risk system for years, so we stay with them. If anything's ever wrong (this year or in three), we fix it, free. That's not a clause to us; it's the relationship.
Every figure is derived from published, peer-reviewed, or government-sourced research. Read the sources before engaging, we'd encourage it.
Conservative Safe Work Australia benchmarks applied with 1.10× manufacturing industry multiplier (our published exposure model). 400-person org, $85K avg salary. Modelled estimates based on your inputs and published research, not guarantees of cost, savings, or exposure. Actual figures vary by risk profile.
In a typical consulting engagement, the risk sits with the buyer, you pay in full up front, you hope for the outcome, and you have limited recourse if it falls short. Daylight inverts this. Every scenario below has a defined outcome in your favour.
| Scenario | Traditional Consulting | Daylight |
|---|---|---|
| A deliverable falls short of what the proposal promised | No recourse. You paid in full before you saw anything. | Fixed first, Remediated at no charge. The final invoice waits until it's right. |
| A factual error is found, even years later | Out of scope. New engagement required. | Corrected free, No time limit. Corrected versions issued to your portal. |
| Staff don't trust the anonymity and don't respond honestly | Your money spent regardless of data quality. | Protected, Written anonymity agreement pre-survey. If participation falls short despite the communications pack being deployed, we extend or re-run the survey window once, at no charge. |
| You want to check the work before the full spend | Not possible, payment terms are payment terms. | Built in, Half the fee is only ever invoiced after you've reviewed and accepted the deliverables. |
Engagement surveys measure sentiment. Daylight builds the documented risk system the Regulations require, different question, different output entirely. A generic survey tells you how people feel. Daylight tells you which hazard is costing the most, which team is at risk, and what your documented position looks like against the Psychological Health Regulations. A survey with no documented corrective action can actually increase your legal risk exposure.
The budget conversation changes when leadership sees the modelled cost of the status quo, for a 400-person manufacturer, typically several million dollars a year in turnover, presenteeism, and absenteeism, every figure traceable to a published source. Book the discovery call, we'll walk you through a sample C-Suite Financial Snapshot and give you the language to make the internal case.
Survey distrust traces to one thing: employees don't believe the data is truly anonymous. The Daylight survey is deployed externally, backed by a written anonymity agreement signed before launch, and the Employee Communications Pack explicitly names this. Employees understand they are responding to an external diagnostic, not an internal HR exercise. The survey is designed to maximise honest participation through structural trust, not just assurances.
Your leadership's total commitment is under one working day, spread across six weeks: a scoping call, a Remote Site Analysis, a handful of short interviews scheduled around shifts, and your Clarity Presentation. Everything between is handled entirely by Daylight. Your staff's only ask is an anonymous survey that takes under 10 minutes. If your team is stretched, that's almost certainly visible in the data, and the diagnostic will give your managers the exact plan to address it.
No individual response is ever attributable. Data is processed at group level only, it is structurally impossible to identify how any individual responded. A Data Processing Agreement is signed before the survey launches, committing this in writing. We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988. All data is retained securely for seven (7) years to support auditing and compliance, then permanently deleted.
We've written this in plain English deliberately. The guarantee is simple. If you have a question not answered below, ask it on the discovery call.
No pitch deck. No pressure. We'll walk you through a real Financial Snapshot and Departmental X-Ray, so you can evaluate the quality of the output before committing to anything. If it's not what you expected, you walk away. No obligation.
